When You Meet

Follow our tips to make sure your date is safe and enjoyable.

  •       Meet each other in a public place.
  •       It is not advisable to meet someone for the first time at either your home or theirs.
  •       Tell someone where you are going and how long you are likely to be.
  •       Don’t move on to another venue.
  •       If you have a mobile phone - take it with you.
  •       Don't drink excessively. This way you can stay in control.
  •       At the end of your date make your own way home. It is not advisable to get a lift from your date.
  •       If you are unable to turn up, please contact the person immediately so they are not left waiting for you.
  •       If you don't feel that you and your match are suited then please don't make any excuses, simply tell them you would rather not take things any further.
  •       Remember your personal security at all times.
  •       Always use your common sense, don’t allow yourself to get into a situation that you feel uncomfortable with.
  •       Trust your instincts – they are often right.
